May 4th, 20112010 Spades Tournament has started
August 21st, 2010Chris Schwab and I were teamed up and lost our first 2 games, so we are out, but it gave me time to type up the 2010 minutes and email them to Shelby. After she adds a couple of lines to them and approves them, I will be posting them here. Until then, here is some info about this year:
Announcements:
Most mature member was Demp Crume, who also had perfect attendance for her 72nd year. Longest distance traveled was roughly 6000 miles by Elise and Ryan Adkins from Croatia. Newest member was Nathan Keith Schwab at 5 1/2 months. The number at the Round-Up this year was 50. Volleyball Winners were Jared Crume, Bryan Branham, Chris Schwab, Ryan Adkins and Mark French.
Elise gave a devtional and shared with everyone about life in Croatia, and Ryan’s college plans. Keith lead everyone in a closing prayer and the meeting was adjourned.

RoundUp 2007
August 18th, 2007Mark your calendars the 2007 Fortner Round-up will be August 17-19 at the Lake Brownwood Heart of Texas Baptist Camp!
We have reserved the WMU Lodge (large meeting room with kitchen), large conference room (where we played spades last year), and cabins. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, and oven. Be sure to bring your favorite casseroles and other goodies! Pots/pans and utensils are limited. For those sports enthusiasts there are sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, horseshoes, Frisbee golf, and fishing! The swimming pool is reserved (with a lifeguard) from 7-8:30pm on Friday and from 10:30am – 12pm on Saturday. We have also reserved the water sport activities (aquajump, water totter, blob, and iceberg) from 3-5pm on Saturday! Go to www.heartoftexascamp.com to see pictures of the facilities and activities.
